Chris: beat mission 46 in story mode
Park: beat mission 60 in story mode
Alex: beat mission 67 in story mode
Outlaws & Shadow Platoon: beat mission 70 in story mode
Mushin-Kai & Tin Jiao: beat mission 99 in story mode

Marshall Law: beat any stage of free mode
Paul Phoenix: beat the challenge mode

Shinkai: beat all chapters on free mode with A rank in all missions
Bordin: beat all chapters on free mode with S rank in all missions
Golem: beat chapter 3 on free mode with B or above in all missions
Kelly: beat chapter 1 on free mode with C or above in all missions
Lilian: beat chapter 1 on free mode with B or above in all missions
Ling Fong: beat chapter 3 on free mode with C or above in all missions
McKinzie: beat chapter 2 on free mode with B or above in all missions
Napalm99: beat chapter 2 on free mode with C or above in all missions
Vera: beat chapter 1 on free mode with D or above in all missions

Generic codes (working on NTSC version only):
Codes have been tested on the USA version only. Codes in grey will not work for some reason (maybe Japan version only, maybe fakes...).
You have to imput this codes in the title screen (where it says "press start button")
An exlamation mark will appear to confirm that you entered a valid code.
To cancel the code effects, simply re-insert it again (another icon will appear for confirmation).

Select same fighter: R2, R2, square, square, X, R2, L1, up, down, up, up, up, square

2 players in story & free mode: L1, R2, circle, circle, triangle, L2, R1, Circle, Triangle, circle
the partner can be controlled using the joypad in port 2. Available only in missions with partner

Unlock all characters: R1,R2,X,Left,Right,Square 4 times,L1,Square,Triangle,O

Unlock all weapons: L1,R1,X,X,Triangle,R1,R1,Triangle,Square,X,R1

Challenge mode: L2, R2, triangle, right, left, up, up, left, R2, R2 ,R2, circle

Free mode: L1, R1, left, left, left, left, left, left, L2, up, triangle, triangle, right

Bonus weapon for multiplayer mode: L2, L2, x, x, triangle , R1, R1, square, R1
(this will let you use the "?" as a weapon in Weapon-Scramble mode)

Free Mode with weapons: L1, R1, L2, R2, L2, circle, R2, up, R2, R2, circle, X, R1
(in free mode all characters but you will start mission holding their favourite weapon)
